Review of Caucasian Chalk Circle, by Bertolt Brecht
I'd give Caucasian Chalk Circle, by Bertolt Brecht 4 stars.
As my first theater play I very much enjoyed the experience.
Nothing went wrong during the play. My only nitpick was the performance from the clarinet but that's because I know the instrument really well so I could pick up on mistakes.
I think if I was an average member of the audience I wouldn't notice.
Overall, the plot of the play kept me enthralled. The romantic features of the play kept me interested because I've watched both "Bloom into you" and "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners", and therefore I wondered if the play would end in tragedy or in joy.
There was also quite a bit of music in this rendition of the play, I personally enjoyed it. I was fascinated by the wide range of musical expertise on display.
